The local Nature Group has sprung into action with a beautiful initiative that’s already turning heads - and planters - in the village square by Kings Grove.
Residents are now sponsoring individual trees nestled in the large community planters, each one becoming a mini-haven for wildlife and a beacon of personal care.
Tree sponsors don’t just lend their names - they roll up their sleeves to water their trees, plant seasonal flowers in the surrounding soil, and add bug boxes to invite pollinators and beneficial insects. It’s hands-on community greening at its most joyful.
Alongside these planting efforts, the newly installed nature cameras are capturing magical glimpses of visiting deer, foxes, and badgers - stirring local excitement and strengthening our connection to the environment.
These images fuel wider awareness about the wildlife we share our spaces with, encouraging conversations around bees, hedgehogs, swifts, and the critical role of allotments in biodiversity. It’s more than sponsorship - it’s stewardship, and it’s happening right outside our doors.
